Vasily Kandinsky (born 1866 in Moscow;
died 1944 in Neuilly-sur-Seine in
France) was one of the most innovative
artists of the 20th century. Kandinsky
belonged to the group "The Blue
Rider". His vision of art, in which he
abstracted himself from the connection
to nature, and thereby discovered the
"inner necessity", made him famous.
Artists of the 21st century were also
inspired by Kandinsky. The PAKS
Gallery in Vienna is showing works of
art by the Spanish artist Monica Jimeno
from the collection "My Trip from
Impressionism to Modernism" in the
exhibition "What moves us" from
January 18 to May 18, 2020 Kandinsky.
